HURRICANE CONDITIONS




 HURRICANE LEVELS & CONDITIONS
In Volusia County, HURCON levels are set by County Emergency Management.

 No Threat.
Regular operations outside hurricane season.
(1 Dec. - 31 May).
 
2
 No Threat.
Regular operations within hurricane season.
(1 June - 30 Nov.).
 
3
 Tropical storm or Hurricane WATCH has been set for area that includes Volusia County.

TS or hurricane weather conditions are possible within 36-48 hours.
 
4
 Tropical storm or Hurricane WARNING has been set for area that includes Volusia County.

TS or hurricane weather conditions are EXPECTED possible within 24-36 hours.
 
5
 Tropical storm or Hurricane WARNING continues for area that includes Volusia County.

Projected landfall within 16 hours.
EVACUATION ORDERS have been issued for designated areas.

 Weather conditions have passed from immediate Volusia County area.
Gale force winds are not present.

 Post natural disaster survival is simple: 
 Be prepared for anything and everything, and expect nothing.
The average time before assistance arrives in a catastrophic situation will be 72 hours plus. You are basically on your own during that period of time.
