- MapQuest: MapQuest Interactive Atlas-Pick a location, and get a map of the area. Great site for printing out a travel map, door-to-door.
- U.S. GAZETTEER
U.S. Census Bureau. The gazetteer is used to identify places to view with the tiger map server. Obtain U.S. census information from the 1990 Census Lookup. You can search for places, counties. Please note, that it will generally only search for incorporated cities or towns. This site will also give lat/long, and area maps. Maps may be outdated, and based on early 90s data.

- GNIS Data Base Query Form,
U.S.G.S.
(Domestic) U.S. Geological Survey: Geographic Names Info System. Enter an area or location, and get the LAT-LON reference, elevation, county, and if an incorporated area, the population.
Upon arrival at the site, enter the city, town road, structure in the box labeled "Feature." Be sure to write or click on the state where the feature is located.
