The job of the U.S.
Coast Guard Auxiliary, the uniformed civilian component of the U.S. Coast Guard,
as authorized by Congress, is to assist the U.S. Coast Guard in any way deemed
appropriate by the Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard. The only exception
is military service and/or direct law enforcement involvement. Our primary
function is assisting with search and rescue on and over the high seas and, and
